Neuroendocrine tumor abdominal MRI medical image datasets

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), also known as islet cell tumors are uncommon tumors that arise in the endocrine tissue of the pancreas. Although they may manifest at any age, they often occur in the fourth to sixth decade of life. Most pancreatic NETs are sporadic, but they can be associated with hereditary endocrinopathies and can secrete a variety of peptide hormones. In the past, the role of MRI at detecting NETs was disappointing, but, with the advent of newer techniques, sensitivity has improved substantially. The database consists of clear and comprehensible images reflecting organ pictures both with and without pathology.
